5. Tuna Eyeballs
Imagine yourself squeezing the raw eyeball between your teeth… I’ve got a feeling it must be similar like chewing a silicon ball, until the moment when it cracks, spilling some nasty, bitter liquid all over your mouth…
I guess tuna eyeballs aren’t that hard to chew and swallow, since they are very common and popular article in almost every Japanese grocery store. They are almost equally popular in China.
Preparation of tuna eyeball may include boiling in hot water or sauteing in a pan with sesame oil and soy sauce. Despite the joke from the top of this text, tuna eyeball is not recommended to be consumed raw 🙂
