Method 4: turn off User Account Control Settings

User Account Control Settings (also known UAC Settings) is a part of Windows OS, designed to notify you before every application makes any administrator-level changes to your Windows OS.

Although it is designed to protect Windows users from potentially harmful programs, it usually causes errors when you try to run some apps, since it is constantly monitoring and limiting all application behaviors.

 

As an administrator on your own PC, you are allowed to change the level of UAC activity, or turn it off completely. Follow the steps below to turn off UAC

1  Go to the start menu and enter “uac” into the search box. Select the first result, as shown on the picture below…

 

2  Within the UAC screen, select the slider and drag it to the bottom.

3  Click OK and confirm any confirmation warning that might prompt.
